Trust In Every Facet of Your Life - Spirit, Body and Mind
Healthy 100 focuses on how to revolutionize your health physically, mentally, and spiritually. Many wellness programs talk about mind, body and spirit, but tread lightly on the topic of spirituality. In our series of articles on trust and purpose you will find that we have a special commitment to and expertise in faith-based health and healing that we would like to share with you. The focus of this article is about your spirituality, purpose in life, and your relationship with a loving, all-powerful, all-knowing Creator God.
When we come to Him just as we are, He works to transform us and to re-create us into His image. If we realize that God loves us despite our flaws, and that His will can lead to our joy and fulfillment, then we can begin to trust Him. And, it is only when trusting Him that we receive the power to be transformed by His love and grace. A trusting relationship with the Creator empowers every aspect of our lives and enables us to achieve the fullness of Healthy 100.
The Bible promises that “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” Psalm 92:12.1 Imagine the mighty cedars of Lebanon, their roots often reach deep into the ground, anchoring the trees to solid rock. When we anchor ourselves in our Rock, He will give us His permanence, wisdom and strength. God gives us everything we need in order to grow and flourish.
Through an intimate and trusting connection to Him, and because of His blessing, we will produce fruit: the fruit of good and wise choices; the fruit of rest that is restorative; the fruit of seeking an environment that is invigorating and restorative; the fruit of continual growth through mental and physical activity; the fruit of being able to continually grow in our trust in God; the fruit of meaningful, interpersonal relationships; the fruit of seeing life from a positive outlook (even when challenges are all around); and, finally, the fruit of a bountiful diet, as originally given in the nutrition of Eden. Food for thought as we share more on this subject.
“We’re never so vulnerable than when we trust someone – but paradoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy.” ~ Walter Anderson
